Kickapoo Creek Watershed
Tri-County Regional Planning Commission is leading an initiative to study the health of the Kickapoo Creek Watershed. The watershed encompasses 300+ square miles of Peoria, Knox, and Fulton counties. GPSD is a partner in this initiative because the Kickapoo Creek enters the Illinois River just downstream of GPSD's wastewater treatment plant. For more information about Kickapoo Creek generally, visit the Friends of Kickapoo Creek.
