Go Paperless!
Holiday Paperless Promotion: Official Terms and Conditions
1. The Offer. The Greater Peoria Sanitary District ("GPSD") will give eligible customers a one-time credit of up to five dollars ($5.00) on their GPSD sewer bill for enrolling in paperless (electronic) billing statements during the Promotion Period, subject to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").
2. Promotion Period. The promotion starts on October 15, 2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Central Time on December 31, 2026 (the "Promotion Period"). GPSD's records decide whether an enrollment was completed within the Promotion Period.
3. Eligibility. The promotion is open only to the property owner of record who is the account holder of an active GPSD sewer account. Tenants, occupants, property managers acting in their own name, and other people who are not the property owner of record are not eligible. Accounts that are closed, final-billed, or in a status GPSD determines to be ineligible are excluded.
4. How to Enroll. To enroll, complete the paperless enrollment at www.gpsd.org/paperless during the Promotion Period. You must give a valid email address and the account information GPSD requests to verify your account. Enrollment is complete only when GPSD verifies the account and the email address is confirmed. Incomplete, illegible, or unverifiable enrollments do not qualify.
5. Customers Already Enrolled. Eligible property owners whose accounts were enrolled in paperless billing as of the start of this promotion will receive the credit automatically, with no action needed.
6. Limit One Per Account. The credit is limited to one per GPSD account, no matter how many times an account is enrolled, unenrolled, or re-enrolled, and no matter how many people are associated with the account. A property owner with more than one GPSD account may receive one credit per eligible account.
7. Application of Credit. GPSD will apply the credit directly to the eligible account on or about a reasonable billing cycle. The credit applies only to current sewer user charges. It does not apply to late fees, late charges, penalties, interest, lien fees, collection costs, or other non-user charges. The credit will not reduce an account balance below $0.00, will not create a credit balance, and any unused portion will be forfeited.
8. No Cash Value. The credit has no cash value. It is not refundable, redeemable for cash, transferable to another account or person, or assignable. It cannot be combined with or substituted for any other credit, discount, or assistance program unless GPSD decides otherwise.
9. No Purchase Necessary. No purchase or payment is required to enroll or to receive the credit.
10. Authorization and Consent to Electronic Statements. By enrolling, you represent that you are the property owner of record and the account holder, or are authorized to act for that person. You authorize GPSD to change the account's statement delivery method to paperless and to send all statements and account notices to the email address you provide. You consent to receive statements electronically instead of by mail. You are responsible for:
11. Continued Enrollment. To keep the credit, the account must stay enrolled in paperless billing. If the account returns to paper statements, GPSD may reverse the credit and add the amount back to the account balance.
12. Verification; Reversal; Disqualification. GPSD may verify eligibility, ownership, and enrollment information at any time, and may ask for proof of ownership. GPSD may deny, withhold, or reverse a credit, and disqualify any person or account, if it determines in its sole discretion that:
13. Fraud Warning. GPSD will never ask for a credit card number, bank account number, password, or payment to claim this credit. Enroll only through GPSD's online format gpsd.org or by contacting GPSD directly at (309) 272-4804. If you get a message about this promotion asking for payment or financial information, do not respond, and report it to GPSD.
14. Modification and Termination. GPSD may change, suspend, extend, or end this promotion, or change these Terms, at any time and for any reason without prior notice. Changes take effect when posted on this page. GPSD's decisions on all matters relating to the promotion are final.
15. Privacy. GPSD will use the email address and information you provide to administer your account, deliver statements and account notices, and run this promotion, consistent with applicable law. Information submitted to GPSD may be subject to disclosure under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act to the extent required by law.
16. Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GPSD and its trustees, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for:
17. Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. GPSD's ordinances, rules, and regulations continue to govern all accounts, charges, and collections. If these Terms conflict with GPSD ordinances, the ordinances control.
18. Reservation of Rights. GPSD reserves all rights not expressly granted in these Terms. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
